To all the dead ideas.

I always get ideas like this.

I can really relate.

Really nice game, thank you!

<3 thanks for playing!

I really liked this one. Felt a cool resonance when I got to the forest maze puzzle, an itsy-bitsy echo of the Link's Awakening follow-up you imagined as a kid. When I was 12 or 13 I posted extensively on a forum about a planned fangame sequel to Chrono Trigger without actually making anything, so I definitely connected with the memoreis here.

<3 thank you! I'm glad the game connected with you - and gratified that you liked the forest maze bit, since that was one of my favorite parts to put in >:D

I love hearing people's forum stories! I was also on forums at that age (most actively on some related to star wars roleplaying lol), so it's fascinating to hear other people's experiences

Really enjoyed this. Feels dream-like. Also growing up with a brother and wanting to make games for a while I can relate. Now I should probably be making a game for the jam.

thank you! I'm glad you liked it :D

this game is great! really hits hard on the struggle of trying to make a game and then giving up later... for me its just getting annoyed on making the game. the idea is there but... i hate hard work like always, which makes my ideas stay, well, ideas. all in all, this was a fun and colorful experience!

thanks! I'm glad you connected with the game <3

good luck with your projects!

thanks!

This was very pleasant. Peaceful. Thank you.

mmm this was very relaxing and inviting. But you forgot the 7th way to not make a video game: tool around making endless prototypes in RPG maker and then inevitably get bored 5 hours in

hahahah how could I have forgotten? :P

Nice!

if you get stuck, try talking to the cat in the ruins -- good luck! ;)

hey, i did follow the dots, talked to the cat. but, that great secret...is it a cheat code or something?

hi again! if you check out orangetide's comments further down the page that should give you a hint ;)

Reminds me of the video game literacy narrative I made for a school project! Except this one is much cuter and less long-winded haha. I liked the art of the beaked lion :)

<3 haha thanks! glad you liked it :D

Very touching, felt like an interactive documentary in a way. Very genuine and extremely relatable as a fellow gamedev. Good luck :)

I loved it. One of the most touching Bitsy's I've played so far. Thanks for the good work.

thank you! :D

This was really beautiful.. I recently left my job to do some indie projects. I don't know if I'll be successful or if I did the right thing, but I feel happy doing what I like (for now).

thanks kevin! best of luck to you <3

<3 thanks!! I hope I will make games for the kiddo at some point - although I don't think those uncoordinated baby hands are quite ready to play them yet >:P

IM STUUUAAACK, ) :

I don't understand the cat thing, I followed it's movement instructions but nothing happened

nice art, btw

try again?

no, I mean that I don't know what to do

(+4)

ah. the cat gives you directions to take once you enter the forest. walk through through in that pattern after the first forest screen

(+2)

Oh- go back to the fork in the road and head north, those instructions are to get you through the forest maze!
